At AKapital Production, we take pride in delivering high-quality film, media, and production services. Because production work requires time, preparation, and resource allocation, this Refund Policy outlines when refunds may or may not be issued.
Refund Policy
Deposits

Non-Refundable
All deposits are non-refundable, unless AKapital Production cancels the project.
Deposits secure production dates, crew, equipment, and pre-production planning time.
Deposit Credits
If the client cancels but wishes to reschedule:

Deposits may be applied to a future date at our discretion, depending on availability.
Cancellations by the Client
Before Production Begins
If you cancel 7+ days before the scheduled shoot:

No refund of the deposit

Any additional payments may be refunded minus expenses already incurred (locations, rentals, supplies, travel, etc.)
If you cancel within 7 days of the shoot:

Deposit is forfeited
-
Additional 20–40% fee may apply depending on pre-production work completed
Same-Day Cancellations
If the client cancels on the day of filming:

No refund
-
Full project balance may be charged
Cancellations by AKapital Production
If we must cancel due to emergency, equipment failure, or unforeseen circumstances:
You may choose between:

Full refund, or
-
Rescheduling at no additional cost
We aim to reschedule rather than cancel whenever possible.
Refunds for Delivered Work
Because production is a service-based creative process:
No refunds are issued after:

Filming has taken place
-
Editing work has begun
-
Any version of the project has been delivered to the client
Revisions Instead of Refunds
If you are unhappy with the edit, we will:

Provide revisions according to the contract/quote

Offer additional revisions for a fee
Refunds cannot be issued on work already performed.
Delays or Changes Caused by the Client
No refunds will be issued when:

A shoot is delayed due to client/school unpreparedness
-
Students or staff are unavailable
-
Required permissions or clearances are not provided
-
Locations are changed last-minute
-
Project scope changes after production begins
Additional costs may apply.
Weather & Location Issues
For outdoor shoots:

If weather makes filming impossible, we will reschedule at no extra cost.

Refunds are not issued due to weather unless AKapital Production cancels fully.
Digital Products & Final Files
All delivered digital files (videos, photos, graphics, etc.) are non-refundable due to the nature of media licensing and production labor.
Special Circumstances
Refunds may be considered in rare cases such as:

Billing mistakes

Duplicate payments
-
Miscommunication acknowledged by AKapital Production
These are reviewed case-by-case.
